ABOUT THE CLUB

Our club is based at the heart of the beautiful Surrey village of Pirbright. Situated six miles North of Guildford, and with Woking roughly the same distance to the East, Pirbright has a population of around 1750. The main village is located to the South of the railway line; the military area – with its links to neighbouring Aldershot – to the North. PPFC draws members not only from the village itself, but from schools throughout these three nearby major conurbations.

Pirbright Village Green is flanked by heathland and overlooked by the traditional village shops and hostelries. We are fortunate to enjoy excellent relations with Pirbright Cricket Club, who provide the generous use of some of their facilities and share our passion for the engendering of local pride in our surrounds. We may have some way to go to match their longevity, however, cricket having been played on the village green since 1780.

Reinforcing our club’s strong sense of community, our Under 12s and U10s teams play their games at Pirbright School, little more than a few hundred yards from the village green. The school – from which a number of our player pool are traditionally drawn –  permits PPFC the use of their excellent grounds. Matches are often played to the backdrop of mist rolling across the surrounding Surrey farmland and to the soundtrack of the local livestock and the bells of St Michael & All Angels Church.

PPFC’s growth within the Pirbright community continues apace.  The club’s development is supported strongly by Pirbright Parish Council and community leaders, and other local businesses have contributed generously to club events. We also have links to Conference National Woking FC’s award winning Football in the Community Scheme.

100Our club attained FA Charter Standard status in 2011and is determined to maintain the high standards that this achievement requires. We are committed to offering affordable, enjoyable and high quality training and care to our members. For 2018/19 PPFC will operate teams at three age groups: Under 15s, Under 12s and Under 10s (for more information visit our Team News Pages on this site).
